Connected Office is a sister company of Arafura Connect, the Territory’s longest standing Internet Service Provider (ISP) offering High Speed Wireless Internet, NBN, ADSL Fibre and Ethernet, Fibre and MPLS / VPLS Network Solutions. Arafura Connect provides the basis for Connected Office services.
Our hosting services went live in 2004 and have been offering hosted services such as Remote Desktop, Sharepoint and Hosted Exchange Email, we then took the decision to expand these core services onto an enhanced Virtualised Platform.
Server and backend infrastructure is located in our secure data centre in Darwin with data replication undertaken every 8 hours to several remote sites in QLD and NSW. Clients can then access their business data, applications or e-mail from a single managed point over a secure connection from anywhere on the planet.
Arafura Connect manages the backups, data protection and replication for all client data, this facility is commonly known as Software as a Service or SaaS or "Apps on Tap".
Arafura Connect has invested heavily in SPAM Firewall appliances to offer our clients some respite from the SPAM overload that we all suffer from. These devices have removed 98% of the SPAM and 99% of spyware and virus infection from clients e-mail and this service is offered to all of our downstream clients as another level of protection.
