Connected Office is a sister company of Arafura Connect, the Northern Territory’s longest-standing Internet Service Provider (ISP). Arafura Connect provides the robust connectivity foundation that underpins our hosting services, delivering high-speed wireless internet, NBN, ADSL, fibre and Ethernet solutions, as well as advanced MPLS and VPLS network services.
Trusted Hosting Services Since 2004
Our hosting services went live in 2004, when we offered hosted services such as Remote Desktop, SharePoint and Hosted Exchange Email. We then made the decision to expand these core services onto an enhanced Virtualised Platform.
Secure Data Centres and Global Access
All server and backend infrastructure is housed within our secure Darwin data centre. To support business continuity and data resilience, data replication is undertaken constantly to immutable Australian cloud-based offsite backup platforms.
This architecture allows clients to securely access their business data, applications and email from a single managed point, using a secure connection from anywhere in the world.
Managed Backups and Software as a Service
Arafura Connect manages all backups, data protection and replication for client environments. This delivery model is commonly referred to as Software as a Service (SaaS), also known as “apps on tap”, providing businesses with reliable access to critical systems without the burden of maintaining their own infrastructure.
Advanced Email and SPAM Protection
To combat the growing volume of email threats, Arafura Connect has invested heavily in enterprise-grade SPAM firewall appliances. These systems remove up to 98% of SPAM and block 99% of spyware and virus infections before they reach client inboxes. We offer this service to all of our clients, as an additional layer of protection, helping safeguard productivity and data security.
